Description
Eero Saarinen developed the Tulip Chair in the 1950’s as part of his research into “organic furniture.” The Museum of Modern Art in New York announced a competition for “organic design in home furnishing collection” for which Eero Saarinen entered the now famous Tulip Chair.
The Tulip Chair and its corresponding pedestal table, represents the peak of Eero Saarinen’s career. Eero Saarinen’s ability to blend colour, form and materials remains remarkable.
