Knoll Style ArmchairÂ
The Florence Knoll Armchair, was designed in 1954 by the American designer of the same name. It was designed as part of the seating series that included sofas and a daybed.
Influenced by Mies van der Rohe, Eliel Saarinen and the Bauhaus school, Florence Knoll (nee Schust) aimed to create furniture that could fit in any environment.
It was an design aim that she brilliantly realised. As a result the Florence Knoll Armchair, with its simple linear lines and high-quality construction, is an excellent addition to any contemporary lounge or office. The Knoll armchair is a classic example of modern minimalist furniture design.
